Overall, my stay at Bells at Killcare was enjoyable but not without its quirks. The rooms were spacious and had a lovely charm, perfect for a getaway. However, the service in the dining area left something to be desired, especially at breakfast. While the pool was a nice touch for relaxation, I expected a bit more attention to detail given the price point.

Rooms
8.0
The studio-style cottage we stayed in was spacious and featured a large bathroom, making it quite comfortable. However, I found it disappointing that the setup didn't provide a proper king bed, just two singles pushed together.
Service
6.0
Service was generally friendly, particularly from the reception team, but it fell short during dining. The lack of attention to our breakfast order was quite frustrating.
Location
9.0
The hotel is conveniently located and is surrounded by beautiful scenery, including beaches and bush walks, making it ideal for relaxation and exploration.
Dining
5.0
Dinner was a highlight, especially the lamb shoulder, but breakfast was less satisfying with overcooked eggs and slow service, which didn't match the upscale ambiance of the place.
Facilities

The pool area was inviting for unwinding, but it lacked proper service throughout the day which made it less enjoyable at times.

My stay was a mix of highs and lows. The rooms were spacious and fantastic, making for a comfortable escape. However, the dining experience left much to be desired, especially given the upscale atmosphere of the hotel. Despite the superb grounds and the quality of the provided amenities, there is room for improvement, particularly in food quality and service efficiency.

Rooms

The room was spacious with a huge king bed, a cozy lounge area, and a lovely kitchenette. The bathroom featured a double spa bath, which was a nice touch.

The service was a bit hit or miss. While some staff went above and beyond, some aspects, like wine service, felt unpolished.

Our visit to Bells was a mixed experience. The location and amenities were lovely, making it a great spot to relax, but the service left much to be desired. We had high hopes for a memorable dining experience, especially for a special occasion, but the overall treatment and food quality did not meet our expectations. Still, the atmosphere and surroundings were quite enjoyable.

The hotel's gardens and property are stunning, offering beautiful spots to walk around, but it felt slightly isolated, requiring us to drive frequently.

The food was tasty but didn't justify the high price; the service during dining was noticeably lacking and frustrating.

The hotel had a clean and well-maintained environment, but unfortunately, it didn't feel luxurious or special. While the amenities like the room and dining facilities have potential, the overall experience was less than expected. The dining options were quite limited for the price we paid, and the breakfast left a lot to be desired. I wouldn't say it was worth the hype or the money.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were large and spacious, featuring a double spa bath and a cozy gas fireplace that kept the room nice and warm. However, the comfort of the bed and pillows wasn't what I hoped for.
Service
6.0
Service was pleasant but felt a bit too invasive at times. The staff were friendly and well-meaning, but they didn't deliver the seamless experience I was looking for.

Dining

The dining experience was disappointing given the price. The breakfast offerings felt very limited with a lack of fresh fruit, and some of the dinner options didn't live up to expectations either.
Facilities

While the overall facilities were clean, they didn't stand out as particularly luxurious or unique, making the stay feel a bit average.

I had a fantastic three-night getaway at this beautiful hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to accommodate my preferences, especially the sommelier who expertly selected our wine. The dining options were exceptional, with both summer and autumn menus showcasing delicious cuisine. The location was perfect for bush walking, and the spa treatments were a highlight. However, I did have to deal with a few mosquitoes during our outdoor adventures. Overall, this place is a perfect retreat, and I can't wait to return!
